Treat House makes 3-bite rice cereal treats—but not just your average, rice/marshmallow/butter recipe. They’ve taken it to a whole other level. In October 2011, the sons of Chris & Jennifer Russell were tasked with raising $50 each for charity. The family decided on an old-fashioned bake sale. Rather than using the classic vintage recipe we all know and love, Chris decided to forage through his pantry for add-ons and eventually came up with three flavors of treats for the bake sale: Mint-Chocolate Cookie, Butterscotch Sprinkle, and Cherry-Dark Chocolate. It was a wild success!
Soon after, Chris & Jennifer contacted Wendy Israel, the former Pastry Chef of their restaurants Moomba and TanDa. She loved the idea and came on board as the Pastry Chef of Treat House.
The treats are Kosher. Many are gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free. But who cares?!? They are soooo deliciously delightful regardless of what they are free of! Flavors like Coconut topped with fluffy marshmallow and toasted coconut, Caramel Sea Salt, Birthday Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Smores, and Bananas Foster. Right now for the holidays, Treat House has holiday flavors, too like Sugar Cookie Dreidel, Gingerbread, and Egg Nog. We can’t even.
